Note on Husband: William VARLEY
A possible set of parents for William were Thomas VARLEY and Mary PENNINGTON. However, Thomas wasa gardener of Aldcliffe. A Thomas of Aldcliffe of the right age range died in 1814 at the time of the previous child of the couple. No baptism for Willam was found.
However, a William CROUCHLY was baptised at Lancaster in Dec 1819 son of William and Ellen CROUCHLY. I suspect that William VARLEY is that child. WHen Thomas VARLEY marries Eleanor CRITCHLEY he is a Mariner and a Bachelor
