The PILKINGTON Family

George and Hannah PILKINGTON were born in Yorkshire in the 1770's. He was a boat builder and worked out of Selby in Yorkshire. His son William moved between Manchester and Selby , finally settling in Manchester by the 1850's to work at the railway carriage works in Openshaw.

Tracing this family back from the 20th Century there are links with the surnames BARBER, BOSS, HALL, JUBB, MORRIS, HALL, STEWART, VOLP and WIESSLER amongst others
